  • About

IRMO is excited to announce that we have commenced the refurbishment of our centre at Warwick House, Angell Town. When we reopen in January 2022, we’ll have a much improved space to provide support, advice, adult education, children and young people’s services and community meetings.

We are 95% there. Almost, but not quite.

With a final push we’ll be able to deliver all of the key elements we set out to achieve when we embarked on our fundraising campaign for the project. These are all about improving;

  • Safety and security
  • Accessibility
  • Energy efficiency & environmental sustainability
  • Delivery of our vital services

The Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit have had a devastating effect on London's Latin American community, with 33% of people facing food poverty, 50% out of work, 50% experiencing financial hardship and 60% struggling to pay rent. In the most difficult circumstances, over the past year;

  • More than 2,500 people were supported by IRMO’s helplines
  • 1,940 people received advice on welfare benefits, housing and immigration
  • 403 people, unable to afford food, have been provided with food vouchers
  • 90 people have been provided with IT equipments
  • 159 learners improved their English skills
  • 102 people received employment support

With the right environment we can deliver lasting change and help more people to build fulfilled, independent and integrated lives in the UK.

We have almost reached our budget and with a final £10,000 we'll be there. Please donate to help us to reach our target.

Thank you and best wishes, from all of us at IRMO.
